I mentioned in my last post that I “gave” myself a Craigslist redo for Mother’s Day. I started and finished this hutch on Saturday so that we could enjoy it on Mother’s Day with our family here. This project was really fun for me. I took a lot of pictures of the process and put together a downloadable step-by-step how-to (details at the end).
Here it is in our
almost finished kitchen nook:
I wanted the wood and the paint to look very worn and rustic, and it definitely does!
It just makes me smile every time I walk by it. Not only does it display some meaningful things, but the extra storage is so nice. We found the wire basket 1/2 off at our local grocery store and I bought the 70 year old bowl from a garage sale a few years ago.
W have been busy wrapping up school and getting into a new routine as we roll out summer. The planning of our summer bucket list and buying season passes to the water park just can’t be beat. I am really enjoying having my girls at home, doing all the fun things that the school year doesn’t give us the time to do.
